Indivisible Bayshore

As part of the National Indivisible movement,
our mission is to collectively resist all threats
to our Constitutional rights and freedoms,
to protect our environment, and to actively promote inclusion,
tolerance and fairness.

We are community members of the greater Atlantic Highlands region. All
volunteers, we began with twenty people and have grown to over several
hundred. We are an organic, grassroots movement.

Our first gathering was at a Candlelight Vigil on November 9, 2016. Since then
we have held monthly meetings, gathered at rallies and marches, and shared
information online.

We are from:
Greater Atlantic Highlands: Atlantic Highlands, Highlands, Navesink, and
other neighboring communities including Red Bank, Middletown, Fair Haven, Little Silver,
Rumson, Holmdel, Leonardo, Keansburg, etc.

We call, write, and meet with our members of Congress and state
representatives; attend rallies and peaceful protests; engage in local politics
and community events; network with other groups and organizations. We
strive to raise awareness, build community, and resist threats to our own and
our allies’ rights and freedoms.

Feeling threatened by the rhetoric that the president-elect embodied
(particularly the targeting of particular groups of people, individuals, and the
environment), community members initially gathered to stand in solidarity
against such hate and ignorance. As a group, we chose to join the larger
Indivisible movement which aims to resist the Trump agenda (by putting
pressure on our Members of Congress) while we also continue to promote
justice, fairness, and tolerance at the local level.
